Food Borne Disease

The Disease caused by consuming the contaminated food or drinks. Microbes and toxic compounds can contaminates our food and that food when we intake it can caused different disease.There are more than 250 known food borne diseases.The majority diseases are infectious and are causing by bacteria,Viruses, and Parasites.Some other food borne diseases are essentially poisonings caused by toxins and chemical containing food. All the food borne microbes are enter are enter into the body through the gastrointestinal tract and the appropriate steps to stop it.For exampled caused the symptoms Nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea are common in food borne diseases.
Many microbes can spread in more than one way, So it is not suddenly possible to evident that this is the disease of food borne.
The public health authorities need to know how a particular disease is spreading to take the appropriate steps to stop it. For example, infections with Escherichia coli (E.coli) can be acquired through contaminated food,Contaminated drinking water,Contaminated swimming water and from toddler to toddler at day care center. 

Caused by:

The most Common food borne infections are caused by three bacteria
1). Campylobacter
2). Salmonella
3). E.coli
4). The group of viruses called calcivirus ,better known as Nor-walk virus.

Prevention

If you want to prevent from the food borne illness then you follow some steps and you have safe 99% from the food borne illness.
Keep clean :Wash your hands before handling the food or preparation of food.
Wash your hand after going to the toilet. Protect your kitchen area and your food from the pest ,chemicals & animals. Wash all those equipment that are using for the food.
Cook thoroughly:Cook food thoroughly especially meat,poultry and sea food.
Food like soup and stews boiling to make sure that it can reached 70C. Reheated cooked food thoroughly.
Keep food at safe temperature:Do not leave cooked food at room temperature for 2 hours. Used Refrigerator for the cooked food below 5C. Do not store the food for long period even into the Refrigerator . Do not thaw frozen food at the room temperature.

Use safe water and raw material: Use clean water. Select fresh and wholesome food.Choose foods processed for safety,Such as pasteurize milk.Wash fruits and vegetables.Do not used the food beyond its expiry date.
